EVANSDALE - Frank T. Higuera, 54, of Evansdale, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, in Coralville.

He was born Sept. 16, 1956 in Washington D.C., son of Frank A. and Joan Blandford Higuera.

Mr. Higuera was employed by Tyson Foods for the last 16 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survived by: his father and stepmother, Frank and Virginia Higuera of Evansdale; his mother of Carlsbad, Calif.; three brothers, Mike Higuera of Evansdale, Ronnie Horner of Carlsbad and Lance (Kara) Higuera of Waterloo; a sister, Marina Higuera of La Porte City; a nephew, Chris Higuera; and five nieces, Brandy Higuera-Bartee, and Theresa, Michelle, Mia, and Katelyn Higuera.

Preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Frances Higuera; and his maternal grandparents, Bernard and Katelyn Higuera.

Memorial services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel, with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. There will be no visitation and the body will not be present. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31.
