Jack C. Foster, 71, was born June 29, 1939, in Des Moines, to Avis and Myrle Foster. He was a 1958 graduate of Waterloo West High School and then joined the U.S. Navy.

He married Sandra Wyborney on June 13, 1959, in Waterloo. Jack worked for Waterloo Implement until his retirement then moved to Florida in 1998 where he worked for the Parks Department. He also volunteered at Bay Pines Medical Center.

In addition to his wife Sandra, he is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Gary) Giddens and granddaughter, Nicole Giddens. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Reese Funeral Home, Seminole, Fla., with interment at Bay Pines National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to Bay Pines Hospice, P.O. Box 5005, Bay Pines, FL 33744 or DAV Bay Pines Chapter 13, 4801 37 St. N, St. Petersburg, FL
