CEDAR FALLS - Kenneth Dale Baxter, 73, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Sartori Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

He was born Dec. 2, 1937, in Ashley, Mo., son of Franklin E. and Mary F. Porter Baxter. He married Maelou Kelly June 12, 1960 in Bowling Green, Mo.

He graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 1962, with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He was an engineer with The Boeing Co. in St. Louis from 1962-76, John Deere Product Engineering in Waterloo from 1976-2002, and DISTek Integration. He was a member of St. Timothys United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls.

Survived by: his wife; two daughters, Jennifer (Steven) Henry of Norwalk and Karen (Ken) Nerison of Wausau, Wis.; a son, Jeff of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren, Jessica, Lincoln and Abigail Henry, Megan Nerison, Zachary and Zo‘ Anderson; and a brother, Billy Baxter of Bowling Green, Mo.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Robert P. Baxter.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Timothys United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls. Public visitation for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to Kappa Alpha Fraternity Scholarship Fund, Rolla, Missouri, the church or Muscular Dystrophy Association.
