WATERLOO - Frances L. Ohrt, 84, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Dec. 16, 1926, in Dubuque, daughter of Charles Marvin and Edith Suzanna Allen Kemp. She married Rolland T. Ohrt May 8, 1943, in Dubuque. He died June 7, 2010.

She worked at Hinson Manufacturing Co, the Singer Sewing Center and retired from Powers Manufacturing in 1987 after 18 years of service.

Survived by: a son, Randy (Pat) Ohrt of Fairbank; three daughters, Claudia (Gary) Ohrt of Panama City, Fla., Linda (Jim) Larson of Sedalia, Mo., and Karen (Duane) Morrissey of Waterloo; two daughters-in-law, Mary and Evie, both of Waterloo; 14 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: two sons, Ronald and Del.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo, with burial in Engeldow Cemetery, rural Mount Auburn. Public visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, and for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
