CEDAR FALLS — Doris J. Grieger, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center.

She was born June 26, 1920, in Butler County, daughter of George and Elizabeth Fick Eltjes. She married Jack Grieger on Aug. 8, 1944, in Memphis, Tenn.

Mrs. Grieger graduated from Aplington High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College (now the University of Northern Iowa). She worked for many years at Montgomery Ward in the credit catalog department, before her retirement.

Survived by: her husband; a son, David (Pam) of St. Peters, Mo.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a son, Douglas; and a brother, Jon Eltjes.

Memorial services: 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls, with inurnment in Mount Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum, Waterloo. Public visitation for an hour before services Thursday at the church. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
