LA PORTE CITY - Scott L. Voelschow, 53, of Oklahoma City, Okla., formerly of La Porte City, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, Okla., of pancreatic cancer.

He was born Feb. 18, 1957, in Waterloo, son of Harold and Helen Lorenzen Voelschow. He married Linda Holm May 22, 1982, in La Porte City.

He was a customer service representative for AT&T for eight years.

Survived by: his wife, Linda; a son, Lance Voelschow of Oklahoma City, Okla.; his parents, Harold and Helen Voelschow of La Porte City; two brothers, Jeff (Cheryl) Voelschow and Terry Voelschow, both of La Porte City; three sisters, Jodie (Roger) Hedgman of Oelwein, Lisa (Jay) McCool of La Porte City and Rita (Gene) Kamback of Vinton; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: maternal grandparents, Richard and Dora Lorenzen; and paternal grandparents, Howard and Lena Voelschow.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at American Lutheran Church, with burial in West View Cemetery, both in La Porte City. Public visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. today at La Porte City Funeral Service, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
