CEDAR FALLS - Charles E. Penticoff Sr., 69, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 4, 1941, in Waterloo, son of Orville and Dena Doeden Penticoff. He married Katherine Miller in 1960. They later divorced. He married Sharon Corwin Nov. 19, 1966 at First Methodist Church in Cedar Falls.

He was a mason for Martinson Construction and an over-the-road driver for Allied Van Lines. He retried from Omega Cabinets in 2008 and was a semi-driver instructor at Hawkeye Community College. Mr. Penticoff served in the U.S. Navy from 1958-60.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Charles E. Penticoff Jr. of Cedar Falls; five daughters, Chantel (Ivan) Penticoff of Cedar Falls, Kiana Wright of Covington, Va., Tracy (Kevin) Frisch of Dike, Shawna (Brian) Hagen of New Hartford and Korina (Ewald) von Aswege of Holland; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and an uncle, Tom (Ila Mae) Doeden of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: a son, Eugene Simpson; and a grandson, Benjamin Penticoff.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Hillside Cemetery. Military rites by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home.
