CEDAR FALLS - Robert F. "Bob" Schilling, 72, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Dec. 17, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 16, 1938, in Stacyville, son of Louis and Christine Bawek Schilling. He married Judy Field Nov. 28, 1964, in Stacyville.

He graduated from Stacyville High School and attended Iowa State Teacher's College. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Schilling was employed at John Deere in Waterloo for 31 years.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Kurt (Wendy) Schilling of St. Paul Park, Minn.; three daughters, Kari (Leon) Peters of Bloomington, Ill., Sara (Jim) Baratta of S. Elgin, Ill., and Amy (Brian) Davison of Janesville; 10 grandchildren, Leon Michael, Kristina, Emma and Sofie, Hallie and Emmett, Marshall, Michael, and Ryan and Brandon; a great-grandchild, Willow; three brothers, Don (Allene) of Phoenix, J.A. (Jeanette) of Charles City and David (Mary Ann) of Moline, Ill.; and two sisters, Mary (Orville) Mauer of Waterloo and Doris (Tom) Ritchey of Denver, Colo.

Preceded in death by: an infant son, Michael Schilling; and an infant granddaughter.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls, with burial at a later date. Military Honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Public visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with a 2 p.m. rosary and 5 p.m. Scripture service. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials: in lieu of flowers, may be directed to American Heart Association or Juvenile Diabetes Association.
