WATERLOO - Connie Eagan, 93, of Friendship Village Retirement Center, died there Tuesday, Dec. 14, of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 19, 1917, in Waterloo, daughter of Neil and Adelaide Catlin Altland. She married H. Wesley Eagan on Aug. 9, 1938, in Waterloo. He died Oct. 10, 1993.

Mrs. Eagan graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1935 and attended Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill., for a year. She worked as a teacher's aide and secretary at Hawthorne and Castle Hill schools until going to Cedar Heights Baptist as secretary, retiring in 1976. She was a member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church.

Survived by: a daughter, Rosann (Phillip) Good of Cedar Falls; a son, James (Carol) of Waterloo; six grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a son, Thomas W.; a daughter, Betty Carlson; and a brother, Gordon Altland.

Memorial Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Village Chapel, preceded by family burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home.
