WATERLOO — LaVerne R. Heimbuck, 66, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born June 6, 1944, in Mason City, son of Victor and Mildred Kelvig Heimbuck. He married Sharon Wilson in July 1963 in Waterloo, and they later divorced. He then married Diane K. Parr on Aug. 29, 1969, and they later divorced.

Mr. Heimbuck worked as a machine mover for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 31 years and was a member of UAW Local 838 and the Eagles.

Survived by: a daughter, Tammy Jo Heimbuck of Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, James (Linda) of Waterloo and Jeff (Lori) of Des Moines; two grandchildren, Aaron and Sierra Heimbuck; a sister, Betty (Harold) Arnaman of Donnelson; and a stepson, Damon Gould.

Preceded in death by: his parents; his stepfather, Charles "Chuck" Gilbertson; a sister, Joan Bailey; and a brother, Jerry.

Services: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Garden View Chapel, where visitation begins at 10 a.m.
