LA PORTE CITY - Kathryn A. Johnson, 94, of La Porte City, died Sunday, Dec. 5, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 20, 1915, in White Pigeon, daughter of Pete and Della Ginther Richardson. She married Roy E. Johnson on Jan. 11, 1934, in Vinton. He died Nov. 4, 1998.

Mrs. Johnson worked as a caretaker for William's Nursing Home.

Survived by: two sons, Roy L. (Ima Jean) of Vinton and Neile of La Porte City; a daughter, Mona Rae (Jerry) Lunning Sr. of Forest City; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; a half brother; and four half sisters.

Preceded in death by: a daughter, Burnetta Burns; a son, Michael J.; a grandson; two brothers; four sisters; a half brother; and two half sisters.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday at La Porte City Funeral Service, with burial in West View Cemetery, La Porte City. Public visitation after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
