CEDAR FALLS — Genevieve Elizabeth Ealy, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Dec. 5, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center.

She was born Jan. 30, 1921, in Adaza, daughter of George Franklin and Ethel Mae Cloke Earhart. She married Leo James Ealy on Aug. 6, 1944, in Cedar Rapids. He died May 16, 1988.

Mrs. Ealy was a homemaker throughout her adult life.

Survived by: two daughters, Cindy (David) Snell and Molly (Mark) Eggleston, both of Cedar Falls; two sons, Jim (Karen) of Louisburg, N.C., and John of Madison, Wis.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray (Mabel) Earhart of Altoona; and a brother-in-law, George Haddy of Cedar Rapids.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Ivan Earhart; and a sister, Gladys Kelley.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Western Home Chapel, Cedar Falls, with burial later in Hillside Cemetery, Platteville, Wis. Public visitation for an hour before services Wednesday at the chapel. Richardson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
