WATERLOO - Viva May Dietz, 92, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born May 16, 1918, in Waterloo, daughter of Samuel C. and Stella D. Slutz Cameron. She married Vernon Dietz on Nov. 8, 1934, in Waterloo. He died Oct. 26, 1994.

Mrs. Dietz was a member of Hammond Avenue Church of the Brethren for more than 70 years.

Survived by: two sons, Vern L. (Donna) and Veryl A. (Rosie), both of Waterloo; two daughters, VernaDean M. (Jerry) Healy of Rockford, Ill., and Vickie A. Mayer of Clearwater, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: four brothers, Samuel, Percy, Chauncey and Dale Cameron; and four sisters, Madge DuBois, Mildred Cameron, Georgia Cameron and Florence Mixdorf.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hammond Avenue Church of the Brethren, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the church.

The family wishes to thank the staff and friends at Ravenwood for their love and care and also to Care Initiatives Hospice for their help and concern during Viva's stay.
