WATERLOO - LueCreatia Manning, 85, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Nov. 14, at Harmony House Care Center of natural causes.

She was born Aug. 10, 1925, in Lauderdale, Miss., daughter of Louis Eakins and Hattie Gibbs. She married LeRoy Manning June 13, 1945, in Greenville, Miss. He preceded her in death.

She was a licensed self-employed beautician. She was a member of Faith Temple Baptist Church and served on the Mother's Board. She was a member of Jesse Cosby Neighborhood Center and a senior companion volunteer.

Survived by: three daughters, Dorris M. Grover Bell of Cedar Rapids, Melissa V. Manning and Katherine H. Manning, both of Waterloo; three sons, John R. Manning of Waterloo, Glennell (Michelle) Manning and Warren H. Manning, both of Minneapolis; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Ardelle Lawrence of Chicago, Teola Whitehead and Lucille Ford, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Fannie Betts of Detroit and Katherine Schoons of Meridian, Miss.; and many nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Preceded in death by: her parents; two brothers, Calvin Eakins and Alvin Eakins; three sisters, Willie LeeThorton, Annie Bernice Moore and Yvonia Green; and two grandchildren, Kim and Salena Manning.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Payne Memorial A.M.E. Church, with burial in Garden of Hymns section of Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Sanders Funeral Service and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the family at 410 Quincy St., where they will be receiving friends
