WATERLOO - Mildred B. Hermundstad, 88, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Nov. 18, at Manor Care Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born June 18, 1922, in Kiester, Minn., daughter of Olaf and Anna Wittman Hermundstad.

She was head obstetrics nurse at Mercy Hospital in Mason City and Schoitz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, until retirement to Breezy Point, Minn. She served in the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant, during World War II.

Survived by: a sister, Nona Skyles of Cedar Falls; a nephew, Mark (Carmen) Skyles of Waterloo; and three nieces, Sally (Greg) Cox of Waterloo, Jane (Tom) Flanigan and Mary Skyles, all of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Harriet Johnson; and a brother, Earl Hermundstad.

Private family services: will be held. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway assisted the family.
