WATERLOO - Patricia A. Wells, 80, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Nov. 18, at Allen Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 3, 1930, in Waterloo, daughter of John E. and Pearl V. Ritz Miner. She married Francis Schons; they later divorced. She married Gerald T. Wells Aug. 29, 1964, in Preston, Minn. He died Dec. 24, 1992.

She was a graduate of Waterloo East High School. She was a member of Cedar Valley Community Church and a volunteer in other organizations.

Survived by: two sons, Richard J. (Sue) Wells and Jack R. (Dede) Schons, both of Waterloo; a stepson, Richard T. (Carol) Wells of Carrolltown, Texas; a daughter, Jill (Dennis) Cooley of Waterloo; a stepdaughter, Sandy (Richard) Gutknecht of Waterloo; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, John E. (Virginia) Miner of Kentucky and Paul (Lois) Miner of Ohio.

Preceded in death by: two grandchildren, Brandon Schons and Jolene Richardson; and three sisters, Katheryn Hill, Elberta Foreman and Evelyn Meley.

Private family graveside services: at Elmwood Cemetery. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street assisted the family.
