IONIA - Carol Jean Zwanziger, 75, of Ionia, died Thursday, Nov. 4, at Nora Springs Care Center in Nora Springs.

She was born March 15, 1935, in Waterloo, daughter of Ralph and Florence Hansen Buttolph. She married Duane Zwanziger May 26, 1963, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. He preceded her in death.

She graduated from Riceville High School. She was employed at Montgomery Ward in St. Paul, Minn., and Rath Packing Co. in Waterloo. She was a homemaker and a member of Saint John Lutheran Church in Nashua.

Survived by: two children, Bruce (Sharla) Zwanziger of New Hampton and Connie (Chris) O'Neill of Mackinaw, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Madison Zwanziger, Jake Zwanziger, Dillon Zwanziger, Austin O'Neill, Bryce O'Neill, Karli O'Neill and Grace O'Neill; a sister, Marilyn (Allen) Baker of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and her mother-in-law, Mary Marie Zwanziger of Waverly.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Saint John Lutheran Church, Nashua, with burial in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, rural Charles City. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials: in lieu of flowers, may be directed to Ionia Library or Saint John Lutheran Church in Nashua.

Her interests included reading, the computer, TV, crocheting, crafts, playing cards, gambling and spending time with her family and friends
