Lorraine E. Smith died Friday, Nov. 5, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 28, 1916, in Worthington, daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth Siegel McVay. She married Wilford "Rusty" Smith in 1948, in Waterloo. He died in 1972.

She was employed at Chamberlain Manufacturing and other factories in the area. She was also a homemaker.

Survived by: a son, Richard Fuller of Waterloo; a daughter, Pat (Jim) Kobliska of Elk Run Heights; nine grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Holub of Anamosa; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: a son, Gene Fuller; a daughter, Barbara Fox; four brothers, Art, Dick, Raynold, and Bill McVay; and two sisters, Lucille Shanney and Del Rose McVay.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with inurnment in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials: may be directed to Care Initiative Hospice.
