CEDAR FALLS - Dorothy E. Lofstuen, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Nov. 4, at Allen Hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Sept. 30.

She was born June 7, 1927, in Owatonna, Minn., daughter of Theodore and Pearl Blastervold Olson. She married Leonard H. Lofstuen Oct. 9, 1948, in Austin, Minn. He died June 14, 1987.

She was a homemaker and worked for many years at Cedar Falls Woolworth Department Store, retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49 Auxiliary.

Survived by: two daughters, Dee (Don) Leopard of Madison, Wis., and Linda Wahner of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, DJ (Cass) Leopard of Madison, Wis., Jason (Jo) Wahner of Cedar Falls, Beth (Greg) Shafer of Cedar Falls, Amber (Eric) Dreesman of Tripoli and Jordan Shafer of Cedar Falls; four great-grandchildren, Abby, Brooke and Zach Dreesman, and Mya Shafer-Smith; a brother, Roger "Curt" (Christy) Olson of Washburn; two sisters, Ruth (Roy) Schumacher and Sandy (Norm) Antijunti, both of Rapid City, S.D.; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: a daughter, Judy Shafer; four brothers, Dick, Don, Ted Jr. "JR", and Bob Olson; and a sister, Beverly Olson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Nazareth Lutheran Church Chapel, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with family present from 4 to 6 p.m. Visitation also for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the family to be given to a local breast cancer coalition.
