CEDAR FALLS — Arnold C. "Whitey" Fobian, 69, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Nov. 1, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo; cause of death pending an autopsy.

He was born Jan. 18, 1941, in Cedar Falls, son of Casper and Anna Jorgensen Fobian. He married Joann Tibbits in 1965 in Riceville. She died in 1984. He married Norma Andorf in 1997 in Las Vegas.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was a machinist at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 30 years, retiring in 1996.

Survived by: his wife; three sons, Arnold Jr. of Waterloo, Wis., Jeffrey Baker of West Bend, Wis., and Thomas Baker of Waterloo; a daughter, Tammora Fobian of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, David (Linda) and Gary (Sharon), both of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, Waterloo, with burial at a later date. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home
