LA PORTE CITY - Florence C. Taylor, 94, of Story City, formerly of La Porte City, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Timberland Village, Story City.

She was born Aug. 12, 1916, in Clarksville, daughter of Henry and Marie Luze Bauer. She married Wendall Taylor on Sept. 29, 1937, in Dysart. He died in 1975.

Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker.

Survived by: four sons, Gary (Ruth S.) of Cedar Rapids, Duane (Ruth A.) of Huxley, Roger (Marsha) of Story City and Dale (Mary) of Windham, Maine; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Preceded in death by: a son, Donald Dean; a grandson; two sisters, Esther Burkey and Alice Grote; and four brothers, Albert, Walter, Herbert and Melvin Bauer.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at American Lutheran Church, with burial in West View Cemetery, both in La Porte City. Public visitation for an hour before services Tuesday at the church. La Porte City Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
