WEAVER, EICHENAUER, DZUGGA

WATERLOO - Helga Weaver, 67, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Oct. 24, at Allen Hospital.

She was born May 11, 1943, in Giessen, Germany, daughter of Hans and Erika Eichenauer Dzugga. She married Rodney Weaver on Aug. 8, 1966, in Germany. He died March 16, 1998.

Mrs. Weaver graduated from Hawkeye Community College in 1996 with an associate's degree in commercial art. She worked as a bus driver for Cedar Falls Schools for two years and Waterloo Schools for 12 years. She was a former member of the Salvation Army, where she was a Sunday School teacher, chaplain for Girls Group, and program chairperson for Ladies Home-League. She volunteered countless hours with the church and other community organizations and was the recipient of the Governor's Award.

Survived by: two sons, Marcus (Celine) of Hudson and Matt (Rebecca) of Richland; a daughter, Erica Weaver of Waterloo; and four grandchildren, Shelby Weaver, and Ashton, Lathyn and Cowen Weaver.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Hans Reiner Dzugga; and her grandmother who raised her, Helena Eichenauer.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Celebration First Assembly of God, Waterloo, with burial in Hudson Cemetery, Hudson. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Helga enjoyed ballet and tap dancing. She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could have asked for, she had a kind and loving personality and a very strong belief and love for the Lord. She will be greatly missed.
