Larry G. "Shep" Schoephoerster, 67, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away Oct. 7 at his home.

Born in Waterloo, son of Grant and Marion Reeck Schoephoerster.

Shep graduated in 1961 from Waterloo West High; was a veteran of the U.S. Army; and was a lathe operator for over 40 years at General Motors.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Marie; a daughter, Tina (Scott) Shiverdecker; son, Steven (Jenny) Schoephoerster; five grandchildren; a brother, Ron (Marlys) Schoephoerster of Waterloo; a sister, Karen (Ronald) Dix of Cedar Falls; and many relatives and friends.

Shep loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing and the slots.

Memorials may be sent to hospice.
