WATERLOO — Jeanne Lucille Gott, 89, of Dubuque, formerly of Waterloo, died at home Wednesday, Oct. 13.

She was born July 2, 1921, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of Raymond and Hazel Seeley Ainsworth. She married Harold "Scotty" Gott in 1940 in Ottumwa. He died in 2004.

Mrs. Gott graduated from high school in Newton and attended cosmetology school in Ottumwa in 1940. She worked at Edna’s Beauty Salon until 1972.

Survived by: a daughter, Senna (Edwin) Ferguson of Dubuque; a son, Bill (Judy) of Albany, Ore.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a son, Michael; and a daughter, Sherril Beckwith.

Services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, preceded by an hour of visitation, and burial in Garden of Memories.
