WATERLOO - Edward C. Wyatt Sr., 89, of 420 Lane St., died Monday, Oct. 11, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab of natural causes.

He was born July 7, 1921, in Colquitt, Ga., son of Rufus and Nola Bush Wyatt. He married Creasie Stubbs Dec. 24, 1939, in Georgia; she died May 9, 1995.

Mr. Wyatt was a World War II veteran and retired from John Deere Waterloo Works.

Survived by: a daughter, Becky Wyatt of Waterloo; a son, Stevie Butler of North Carolina; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Clifford (Carol) of Dubuque, Bill (Linda) of Port St. Joe, Fla., and Olden of Panama City, Fla.; and four sisters, Cora Wyatt Williams of Sacramento, Calif., Fran (Gary) Freeland of Killeen, Texas, Earie Perkins of Cairo, Ga., and Sharon Wyatt of Panama City.

Preceded in death by: three sons, Edward Jr., Alphonso and Joseph; two daughters, Betty Holmes and Regina Porter; and two brothers, Lonnie and Alphonso.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Union Missionary Baptist Church, with full military rites by American Legion Post 138, VFW Post 1623 and the U.S. Marines, and with private burial in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Sanders Funeral Service and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the family at 420 Lane St., where they will receive friends.
