CEDAR FALLS - Guinevere M. "Ginny" Schoneberg, 81, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Oct. 1, at Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

She was born May 12, 1929, in Fonda, daughter of Beryl and Winifred Hughes Richards. She married Laverne "Pete" Schoneberg Aug. 23, 1950, in Waterloo. He died April 27, 1989.

She graduated from West Waterloo High School in 1947. She retired in 1994 as communications secretary in the Cedar Falls office of the National Episcopal Cursillo after 20 years. Mrs. Schoneberg was a member of Trinity Episcopal Parish, a lifetime member of Becker Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, American Heart Association board member, past-president of Northeast Iowa Stroke Association, and past vice president of National Episcopal Pews Action.

Survived by: two sons, Scott (JoBeth) Schoneberg of Des Moines and Reid (Dorene) Schoneberg of Fort Worth, Texas; five grandchildren, Sara, Ben, Peter, Cole and Callie Schoneberg; two stepgranddaughters, Erica and Heather Feldt; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Danielle Feldt-Lange and Austin Feldt.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Episcopal Parish, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home.
