ELK RUN HEIGHTS - Christopher James Roberts, 27, of Elk Run Heights, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of cancer.

He was born March 7, 1983, in Waterloo, son of Tom and Judith Smith Roberts.

Mr. Roberts graduated from Waterloo East High School in 2001 and earned a bachelor's degree in business and finance from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls. He worked for John Deere Ottumwa Works in supply management.

Survived by: his father of Elk Run Heights; a sister, Lynn (Benjamin) DeVries of Largo, Fla.; maternal grandparents, Richard and Patricia Smith of Waterloo; and paternal grandparents, Tommy Sr. and Darlene Roberts of Elk Run Heights.

Preceded in death by: his mother.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the chapel.

Memorials: may be directed to the family for later designation.
