WATERLOO - Marilynn J. Ahrenstedt, 73, of Waterloom, died Monday, Sept. 27, at home of natural causes.

She was born July 21, 1937, in Freeport, Ill., daughter of Stansmore C. and Leta Potter Crase. She was raised by her father and stepmother, Rosetta McMinn. She married Carl Ahrenstedt on Jan. 1, 1965, in Chicago. He died May 19, 1985.

She was a licensed practical nurse at Allen Hospital for several years and in Senior Employment at Waterloo Center for the Arts.

Survived by: a half brother, Robert Crase of Houston.

Preceded in death by: a son, Timothy Lee Adams.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Buckingham Cemetery, Traer. Public visitation for two hours before services Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials: may be directed to Burton Avenue Baptist Church, Our Savior's Lutheran Church or the Waterloo Center for the Arts.
