CEDAR FALLS - Juanita A. Smith, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Sept. 4, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab.

She was born Aug. 16, 1928, in Marshalltown, daughter of Finney and Mildred Waker Owen. She married Earl F. Smith June 29, 1947, in Marshalltown. He died Aug. 23, 2008.

She was a food service supervisor at the University of Northern Iowa, retiring in 1990 after 21 years of service.

Survived by: two sons, Terry (Vicki) Smith of Cedar Falls and Donald (Terri) Smith of Fairfield, Wash.; four grandchildren, Becky Smith, Boyd (fiancée Ashley) Smith, Monica (Jerry) Szep and Ben (Jessie) Kiddoo; six great-grandchildren, Chris Kiddoo, Cory Szep, Jordan Szep, Johnathan Szep, Michael Szep, Matthew Szep, and expecting another great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by: three half sisters, Bonnie, Kathryn and Leolia; and two half brothers, Floyd and Emmit.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Public visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
