Lottie Heinemann. “Mrs. Lottie Heinemann, 86, of 1110 Sycamore St., died Monday at 6 a.m. of a heart ailment at Allen Memorial hospital. She was born Lottie Suhr Feb. 16, 1874, at Segelhorst, Germany, daughter of Fred and Minnie Suhr. She came with her mother to the United States and Maynard, Ia, in 1891, being married Dec. 19, 1895, at Buck Creek, to William Heinemann. Mrs. Heinemann and her husband farmed near Klinger, and later near Belgrade and Readlyn before coming to Waterloo in 1928. She was a member of the First Lutheran church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. I. R. Berry, 337 Lafmont St., Mrs. Lydia Nielsen of 326 Fowler St., and Mrs. Walter Hunemuller of Tripoli. There are also a son, Fred Heinemann, Readlyn; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Huegli, Oelwein, and Mrs. Hannah Youngman, Independence, 16 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1942, one daughter, three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services, set for Wednesday, are being completed at the Parrott and Wood Funeral Home.” Waterloo Courier, March 29, 1960.
