Harold J. “Wally” Walling – 81, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 26, at Allen Memorial Hospital of heart failure.

He was born July 27, 1912, in Durango, son of George and Niccola Ouderkirk Walling. He married Esther Gadow on Jan. 5, 1941, in Dubuque. Mr. Walling was employed in the deboning department of Rath Packing Co., for 32 years, retiring in 1971. Survived by his wife.

Preceded in death by four brothers: Herman, Albert, Robert and George; and a sister Lucille Hirah.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until services Friday at the Chapel. Memorials: directed to Allen School of Nursing.
