CEDAR FALLS - Arlene Mae Nunnally, 79, of Sequim, Wash., formerly of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, at her home.

She was born May 16, 1931, in Waterloo, daughter of J. Holger and Petra Thode Jensen. She married Jack Harp in 1954. He died Aug. 25, 1961. She married Vern Nunnally Oct. 23, 1969.

She graduated from Dike High School and Hawkeye Institute of Technology. She held various positions in the area, retiring in 2000.

Survived by: her husband; three sons, Jon (Sally) Harp of Everett, Wash., Joe Harp of Silverdale, Wash., and Mike (Melvina) Harp of Tillamook, Ore.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a son-in law, Rick Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: a daughter, Jan Miller; a grandson, Bruce Miller; a daughter-in-law, Tamaira (Joe) Harp; two sisters, Ruby Shafer and Maxine Martens; and a brother Harry.

Celebration of Life: was Friday.

Arlene enjoyed playing Competitive Tournament Bridge for over 47 years, achieving Gold Lifemaster. Arlene had many special friends who she considered her "other" sons, and daughters. Her love of life and people kept her busy all the time. Arlene was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
