WATERLOO — Marlene M. Meyer, 75, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of pancreatic cancer.

She was born May 24, 1935, in Waterloo, daughter of Roy and Mary Bean Moser. She married Donald D. Allender in 1956 in Nashua; they later divorced. She married Richard "Dick" Meyer on Dec. 5, 1968, in Galena, Ill.

She was an in-home child care provider for 40 years. She was a longtime member of the Waterhawks Ski Club.

Survived by: her husband; two sons, Scott (Jodi) Allender of LeClaire and Kevin Meyer of Belize; two daughters, Candace (Donald) Allender Kropf of Clear Lake and Tanya (Jim Jackson) Meyer-Dideriksen of Oxford; eight grandchildren, Kyle and Jordan Allender of LeClaire, Elizabeth, Katherine and Christian Kropf of Clear Lake, Colin Mansager of Oxford and Aaron Meyer and Jarrod Gonzales-Meyer, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Preceded in death by: two sons, Nick C. Allender and D. Kelly Allender; and two sisters, Lois Owens and Gladys Christensen.

Private family services: Saturday at Orange Township Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball.
