WATERLOO — Irene D. Bainbridge, 93, of Waterloo, died Friday, Aug. 6, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center following a short illness.
She was born Sept. 30, 1916, in Benson, Ill., daughter of Herman and Clara Kolb Renken. On Sept. 1, 1949, she married Lee Bainbridge at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Manson.
Mrs. Bainbridge and her husband farmed and owned and operated a theater in Kingsley. They also owned and operated a motel, laundromats and rentals in Waterloo.
Survived by: her husband; and a son, Glen (Paula) of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by: a brother, Virgil Renken; and two sisters, Alvina Janicke and Barbara Green.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Ascension Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
