CEDAR FALLS - Mary E. Schempp, 93, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Aug. 1, at Sartori Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 13, 1917, in Kokomo, Ind., daughter of Corbin and Amy V. Williams Short. She married Donald Schempp. He died in 1981.

Mrs. Schempp was a homemaker in her own home.

Survived by: three sons, William of Decorah, Don (Nancy) of Kansas City, Mo., and Max of Minneapolis; a daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Sutherland of Waterloo; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a grandchild; two brothers; and four sisters

Private family memorial Services: will be held at a later date.

Memorials: may be directed to charity of donor's choice.
