WATERLOO - Betty Ann Sadd, 72, of Waterloo, died at her home Thursday, July 29.

She was born June 22, 1938, in Quincy, Ill., daughter of Elmer and Mary Holloway Canfield. She married George Sadd in 1955 in Kearney, Neb. He died in 1999.

Mrs. Sadd graduated from Kearney High School in 1955. She worked in the metro area for many years, eventually owning Flower World in downtown Waterloo. She was active in numerous church and community organizations throughout the Cedar Valley.

Survived by: two daughters, Dana (Larry) White and Tamie (Chris) Goodwin; a son, Randy (Beth); seven grandchildren, Nicole (Tom), Mike (Michelle), Kellie (Phil), Nick (Kayla), Holly (Will), Katie and Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Noah; her mother, Mary; a brother, Jim (Pat) Canfield; and "The Old Lady Club."

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Heights Community Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to Iowa Hospice.

Betty loved to read, spend time with her family and was also very active in the Republican party.
