WATERLOO - Duane A. Lund, 81, of New Richland, Minn., died Thursday, July 8, in New Richland.

He was born on July 22, 1928, in Minneapolis, son of Ralph and Lula Schultz Lund. He married Norma Corpus Oren Oct. 27, 1995, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

He graduated from New Richland High School and served in the U.S. Navy for a short time. He worked in the shipping department at Bemis Co. in Minneapolis for 23 years before retiring.

Survived by: his wife of Decorah; a brother, Douglas Lund of New Richland; three stepchildren, Mary Lou Cotton (Michael) of Decorah, Shirley Lucas of Cincinnati and Glenn (Shelley) Oren of Boone; 10 stepgrandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; and an aunt.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with burial in St. Olaf Cemetery, both in New Richland. Public visitation for an hour before services Monday at the church. Friedrich Funeral Home, New Richland, is assisting the family.
