WATERLOO - Kristin Ciera Cardner, 21, died Thursday, July 8, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

She was born Sept. 2, 1988, in Lakeland, Fla., daughter of Rodney C. and Sandra L. Cardner Hirsch.

She graduated from West High School in 2007. She was a cashier at Menards.

Survived by: her mother, Sandra Cardner of La Porte City; her father, Rodney C. Hirsch of Waterloo; a brother, Christopher Hirsch of Columbia, Mo.; maternal grandparents, Bruce and Sydney Cardner of Lakeland, Fla.; paternal grandmother, Opal Hirsch of Waterloo; uncles and aunts, Sharon and Donald Phillips of Richardson, Texas, Greg Reid of Dallas, Texas, Suzy Cardner of Chapel Hill, Fla., and Bruce and Jacqueline Cardner of San Jose, Costa Rica.

Preceded in death by: her paternal grandfather, Fred Hirsch and maternal grandparents, John and Sally Mitchell.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories, both in Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
