WATERLOO — Gordon Francis Lee, 80, of Lake Summerset, Ill., formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 1, in Durand, Ill., after a short illness.

He was born Dec. 14, 1929, in Waterloo, son of Harry and Ella Taplin Lee. He married Leona M. Corcran on June 4, 1960, in Waterloo.

Mr. Lee graduated from Waterloo West High School and the University of Iowa, Iowa City. He was employed as a tax manager by Abbott Laboratories for 25 years and had served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army.

Survived by: his wife; two sons, Michael Gordon (Vicki) of Spring Grove, Ill., and Timothy (Janet Rosen) of Great Barrington, Mass.; five granddaughters Caitlyn, Megan and Amanda Lee, all of Spring Grove, and Alison and Ruthanne Lee of Great Barrington.

Graveside services: will be held at a later date in Dysart Cemetery, Dysart. Public visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McCorkle Funeral Home, Durand.
