WATERLOO - David Alan Fegley, 56, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, June 23, at Allen Hospital.

He was born July 18, 1953, in Omaha, Neb., son of Warren and Gertrude Bickel Fegley. He married Karla Jean McKibben April 24, 1982, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Waterloo. The couple later divorced.

He graduated from Waverly-Shell Rock High School in 1971, and was a state meet cross country runner-up. He earned a business management degree from University of Northern Iowa in 1975 and graduated from Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wis. He was a manager at J.W. Maucker Student Union, vice president at Cedar Falls Savings and Loan, vice president and compliance officer at Waterloo Savings Bank/Mercantile Bank and loan manager at Modern Woodman of America in Bettendorf.

Survived by: his parents; two sisters, Karen (Bert Bremer) of Boston and Joanne Broadston of Denver; a brother, Brian (Lori) of Cedar Falls; and nieces and nephews, Mindy Broadston, Erin (Brandon) Leiran, Aiden and Parker Leiran, Mike (Emily) Broadston and Allison and Peter Fegley.

Memorial services: will be at a later date. Per his request, his body was donated to University of Iowa College of Medicine. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Spending time on the golf course was one of Dave's greatest passions. He held a great interest in expensive cars and enjoyed his Corvette and B.M.W. He was an avid woodworker, handyman and a diehard Nebraska football and Yankee fan.
