RAYMOND — David L. Owen, 70, of Raymond, died Wednesday, June 23, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minn., of natural causes.

He was born Feb. 26, 1940, in Waterloo, son of Earl James and Leona Watson Owen. He married Betty Boehme on Nov. 13, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Mrs. Owen was employed at the John Deere Foundry, retiring in 1995.

Survived by: his wife; two sons, Todd (Judy) of Waterloo and Troy of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Lisa Creger of Evansdale and Jodie (Richard) Conley of Akron, Ohio; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild and one on the way; a brother, Mike of Cushing, Wis.; three stepsons, Troy (Patti) Mehmen of Sumner, Brian (Lynley) Mehmen of Spear Fish, S.D., and Jeff (Beth) Mehmen of North Liberty; seven stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-granddaughters.

Preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers, Bob, Jim and Arthur Owen; and five sisters, Pat Lillard, Colleen Rice, Marsha Nelson, Mary Spore and Donna Dietz.

Memorial services: 2 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
