WATERLOO — Fred M. Bender, 77, of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 24, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born June 20, 1933, in Fort Dodge, son of Martin and Minnie Reinking Bender. He married Delores "Dee" L. Aegerter on Aug 20, 1955.

Mr. Bender was a 1953 graduate of Maynard High School, Maynard, and attended the University of Texas. He was employed as an electronic technician/service manager for Don's TV.

Survived by: his wife; a daughter, Cindy Kelley of Waterloo; a son, Martin of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Billie Kelley, Brodi Bender Olson and Samuel Bender of Waterloo; and four inherited grandchildren, Eric, Chad, J.R. and Bob.

Preceded in death by: his parents; and a sister, Mary Wunderlich.

Family services: will be held at a later date in accordance with his wishes.

Memorials: may be directed to the the family.

Fred was involved in music and enjoyed fixing things and fishing.
