CEDAR FALLS - Maralyn Monger Curl, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, June 10, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 8, 1928, in Ottumwa, daughter of Kenneth Floyd and Madge Quigley Monger. On June 20, 1954, she married Charles Cannady Curl in Bloomfield and they later divorced.

Mrs. Curl graduated with a bachelor's degree from Drake University, Des Moines, and attended post graduate studies at the University of Northern Iowa. She was an elementary instructor in the Boone Community School District, Des Moines School District, and for 30 years with the Waterloo Community School District, retiring in 1991.

Survived by: a son, Charles Craig (Reuille) of West Suburban, Ill.; two daughters, Charalyn (Kurt) Stock of Cedar Falls and Cathy C. (John) Reece of Naperville, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Martha Floyd; and a grandson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Public visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
