CEDAR FALLS — Max B. Lowcock, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, June 10, at Sartori Hospital.

He was born May 5, 1927, in Powersville, Mo., son of Francis Edward and Faye Bishop Lowcock. He married Ramona Hansen on May 2, 1947, in Waterloo, and they later divorced. He married Maralee Bell on Nov. 24, 1978, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Lowcock served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed at Rath Packing Co. for 21 years, was the corporate vice president of operations at Honnegers, Fairbury, Ill., for nine years and was a real estate broker-associate with Century 21 for 13 years. He was past president of Rath’s Management Club, past chairman of the Iowa Area Council of Management Club, past president and co-founder of the City Management Club, Springfield, Ill., past president of Waterloo Toastmasters and a lifetime member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks, Waterloo.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Erik (Christina) of Bentonville, Ark.; a daughter, Brenda Joyce Coda of Sedona, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Danielle and Sean D’Addamio and Ariel Hooker; a stepgranddaughter, Kirsten Gackowski; two great-grandchildren, Maliya Hooker and Asher D’Addamio; and a brother, Curtis W. of Wenatchee, Wash.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Nadene Foster.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral Home.
