CEDAR FALLS - Doris E. Garvin, 93, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, June 9, at Western Home Communities Thalman Square.

She was born Aug. 24, 1916, in Waterloo, daughter of Alfred "Dick" and Floy Huff Price. She married Gene Garvin on July 5, 1936, in Waterloo. He died Sept. 15, 1987.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School and was a mother and homemaker throughout her adult life.

Survived by: two sons, Gary (Mary) of Galena, Ill., and Phil (Patty) of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Susan Garvin of Denver, Colo., and Annette (Curtis) Garvin Steffen of Eagan, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a son, Todd G. Garvin.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
