WATERLOO - Geraldine I. Freeman, 84, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, June 1, at Allen Hospital.

She was born July 16, 1925, in Sheldon, daughter of Henry and Anna Jungers Dittman. She married Marlin E. Freeman in Hospers. He died in 1994.

She was employed at Hong Kong Restaurant.

Survived by: two sons, Francis of Waterloo and Karl (Eve) of Rowlett, Texas; a daughter, LeAnn (Daniel) Deramus of Palmdale, Calif.; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Mary) Dittman of Ashland, Tenn.; and four sisters, Joann (Gordon) Robson of Circle Pines, Minn., Sister Mary Ruth Dittman of Phoenix, Mary Dittman of Burbank, Calif., and Rose (Bob) Duncan of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: a son, Allen Freeman; a daughter, Vicki Baker; two brothers, Francis and Robert Dittman; and a sister, Virginia Holmes.

Services: 2 p.m. today at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services today at the church, where there will be a 1 p.m. Legion of Mary rosary. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of arrangements.
