CEDAR FALLS - Mabel L. Stainbrook, 91, of Western Home Communities, died Saturday, May 22, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 11, 1919, in Hazleton, daughter of Herbert and Grace Hyser Huntington. She married Donald W. Stainbrook on Sept. 2, 1939, in Waterloo. He died Feb. 5, 2007.

Mrs. Stainbrook graduated from Hazleton High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa.

Survived by: two daughters, Charlotte (Larry) Courtney of Waterloo and Julie (Mike) Webb of Cedar Falls; a son, Bruce (Carol) Kimberling City, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Christine (David) Whetstone, Lincoln, Neb., Cathleen (Tony) Lundquist of Paullina, Sheri (Craig) Marihart of Algona, Brian (Dorsey Rocco) Stainbrook of Des Moines, Brandon (Dr. Sarah) Webb of New Lenox, Ill., Sara (Tony) Ramirez of Cedar Falls and Andrew (Lisa) Webb of Bettendorf; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Madge Burr; and a brother, Lyle Huntington.

Memorial Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Waterloo, with inurnment in Hazleton Township Cemetery, Hazleton. Public visitation for an hour before services Wednesday at the church. Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
