HUDSON — Frances M. Watters, 94, formerly of Hudson, died Saturday, May 15, at Parkview Manor, Reinbeck, of natural causes.

She was born Aug. 16, 1915, in Hudson, daughter of Lee and Maggie Lafrenz Watters. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1933 and was employed as a cook in the Hudson Community Schools for 19 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Hudson Community Church and of the Women of the Church and had taught Sunday School.

Survived by: many cousins.

Preceded in death by: her parents

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial in Hudson Cemetery, Hudson. Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials: may be directed to the Hudson Ambulance Service in lieu of flowers at her request.

Frances especially enjoyed cross stitching and flower gardening. She loved to cook and read magazines.
