CEDAR FALLS - Freda M. Huston Lawrence, 93 of Cedar Falls, formerly of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Appleton, Wis., died Saturday, May 15, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

She was born Oct. 24, 1916, in Knox, Pa., daughter of Dr. Charles and Flora M. Weaver Huston. She married Dwight P. Lawrence on Aug. 7, 1944, in Knox. He died Nov. 8, 1992.

Mrs. Lawrence attended Grove City College, Grove City, Pa. In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed in retail and bookkeeping with J.C. Penney Co., Sheboygan and Appleton, Wis.

Survived by: three daughters, Jane Lawrence of Chicago, Linda Gleissner of Cedar Falls and Mollie Lawrence (Erica Peitler) of Morristown, N.J.; two grandsons, Dan (Mandy) Gleissner of Reinbeck and Scott (Stephanie) Gleissner of Waterloo; and two great-grandsons, Dakota Gleissner and Dan Gleissner III, both of Reinbeck.

Preceded in death by: three brothers and four sisters.

Family-directed memorial Services: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Heights Community Presbyterian Church, with burial later in Knox Union Cemetery, Knox, There will be no visitation. Richardson Funeral Home assisted the family.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or the church.
