MCGILL, DAVIS, DOYLE, HURT

CEDAR FALLS - Margaret M. McGill, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, May 13, at Allen Hospital.

She was born Oct. 28, 1923, in Oxford, daughter of Charles R. and Evelyn M. Davis Doyle. She married Robert E. McGill Jan. 27, 1949, in Oxford.

She graduated from Oxford High School and attended the University of Iowa. She was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy Wacs. She was a distinguished honorary member of Phi Pau Omega Sorority.

Survived by: her husband; three sons, Robert and David, both of Winterspring, Fla., and Douglas (Mary) of Surprise, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Sean, Erin and Elizabeth; two great-grandchildren, Haley and Colin; three brothers, James (Lorraine) Doyle of Minneapolis, Minn., Claire (Arlene) Doyle of Solon and Fr. Tom Doyle of Coralville; and a sister, Carol (Roger) Hurt of Iowa City.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Flag folding will be presented by the Iowa Army National Guard. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
